2015 ELL Parent Conferences

The Department of English Language Learners and Student Support (DELLSS) is excited to annouce the Spring 2015 ELL Borough Parent Conferences. The conferences will offer parents and guardians of English Language Learners (ELLs) and former ELLs valuable information about program options, how to support their children academically, and practical insights about exciting summer learning opportunities available to them in New York City.

Advance Student Survey Pilot

The Department of Education believes that our schools become stronger when we listen to our students. We are excited to announce a new opportunity - the Advance Student Survey Pilot- that allows students to share their experiences in class by responding to a student perception survey. This information will help teachers create effective lessons aimed at helping every child to learn.

HPHS Students Read 9/11 Poetry at Tribute Center

Students from HPHS were the only NYC school to be invited to the 9/11 Tribute Center Poetry Reading where they read their own poetry written as a result of a 9/11 project.
